Marked 925
Import out of Taxco, Mexico.
This is a precious piece of jewelry. Like I said in my title, this silver bracelet is a gorgeous reproduction from a Margot de Taxco design. Most of the jewelry in my store made by Melesio Rodriguez V. is created from original molds, I can't say the same about this piece cause I do not have the marks to back it up, but I can tell you that this cuff is amazing, it was handcrafted like most of my jewelry, with impeccable craftsmanship and beautifully finished.
The design is a perfect example of what Margot de Taxco represents in the Mexican silver jewelry history. Her works always show an enormous interest in ancient cultures' elements and nature in general, this silver bracelet has the best of these features.
The ethnic elements shown on this piece are charming, artistic, trendy, unique, there are so many adjectives that apply to this incredible silver cuff, but take a look to the extra photos and decide yourself. I would like to comment on Melesio Villarreal, whose name is shown in the markings inside the cuff. He is Melesio's grandson, he's been working with his grandfather for years now and he's following the same steps by creating this amazing pieces and helping his grandfather to carry the tradition around for new genarations and insuring the survival of this old Taxco art. His jewelry is made with the same excellent quality than the ones marked by Melesio Rodriguez V.
This silver cuff has also 2 Amethyst beads on each eye, in mint condition, it is solid silver with a substantial of 112.1 grams (3.6 ounces).
The bracelet is two and a half inches wide, at its widest point (the centerpiece) with an inside circumference of seven and one eighth inches.
